How we keep listings trustworthy
Listings sit inside a civic app people rely on, so the bar is high. Here's exactly how a listing gets in, how location works, and how we keep out anything fake or harmful.
📍 Where your listing appears
- • Listings are tied to the areas they serve (localities / pincodes) and a category.
- • They surface to people browsing that category and, where relevant, that part of the city — so a Koramangala PG reaches people looking around Koramangala.
- • Featured listings get top placement in their category and a slot on the homepage strip.
- • Listings never appear on civic/emergency pages (helplines, fraud, reporting).
✅ How we verify legitimacy
Nothing is published until it passes all of this:
- 1. Automated screening on submission blocks prohibited content and flags suspicious phrasing.
- 2. Contact verification — we confirm a working phone (OTP) / email for the business.
- 3. Business proof — a GSTIN, Udyam (MSME) registration, shop & establishment licence, or equivalent, matched to the business name.
- 4. Manual review — a human checks the proof, category fit and claims before approval.
- 5. Only then does status become Verified ✓ and the listing goes live for the paid period.
🚫 What we don't allow
Submissions matching these are rejected automatically and never stored:
✕Agents/middlemen for government documents (khata, passport, licence) — against our mission
✕Anyone impersonating BBMP/BDA/GBA or claiming false 'government authorised' status
✕Fake/duplicate certificates, IDs or degrees
✕Predatory instant-loan / no-KYC cash schemes
✕Gambling, betting, matka
✕MLM, chain-marketing, 'guaranteed returns' schemes
✕Drugs, weapons, adult/illegal services
✕Misleading superlatives presented as fact ('govt approved', '100% guaranteed')
⚐ Spotted a bad listing?
Every live listing has a Report link. Reports raise a flag for review and a listing can be unpublished while we investigate. You can also contact us directly.
