Namma Civic is an independent citizen portal for Bengaluru. We built it to be useful with as little of your data as possible. There is no login and no account. This policy explains what is and isn't collected.
What we don't collect
No sign-up, no name, no phone number, no password. We do not ask for or store personal identity information, and we never sell data.
Stored on your device only
Your chosen area, language, reminders, saved reports and similar preferences are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting product analytics (PostHog) to understand which pages are useful, in aggregate. This may set a cookie or local identifier. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Advertising
We may show ads via Google AdSense to keep the service free. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings and learn more at Google's advertising policies.
Third-party services
Some features open or fetch from official and third-party services — for example weather/air quality (Open-Meteo), maps (Google Maps), and government portals you click through to (BBMP, BESCOM, BWSSB, ECI, e-RaktKosh and others). Those services have their own privacy policies. Links you submit (listings, feedback) are forwarded to our intake so we can review them.

Content is curated for guidance and can change. Always confirm on the official department site before paying or submitting documents. We are not affiliated with any government body.
